We continuously monitor and redistribute bikes across stations, but peak times can arrive unexpectedly.
To support citizens and speed up the parking process, VAIMOO has enabled the option to park at a station even when it is already full, by adding new virtual spots that can be used for an additional fee.
Why is there an extra fee? This solution requires an additional physical intervention by our team: someone will physically move the bike for you. The paid parking service can only be used when all free parking spots at a station are occupied and only if the user chooses to use this option (it is always possible to park at a nearby station with available free spots).
How to Recognize Parking Options at a Station
1. Blue Pin – Free Parking Available
If standard (free) parking spots are not all occupied, the station will appear in the App with a blue pin.
By tapping on the station pin, you will see the available free parking spots and any paid parking options.
Please note: In this case, by default, when ending your ride, a free parking spot will be occupied and no additional costs will be applied.
2. Red Pin – Station Full
If all standard (free) parking spots are occupied, the station will appear with a red pin.
In this case, free parking is not available, but paid parking may still be an option.
2.1 Blue “€” Symbol
Paid parking is available. By tapping on the station pin, you will see the available paid parking spots at a cost of €0.50.
You can choose to park for €0.50 or change to another station.
If you confirm paid parking, in the ride details (App section “Rides”), you will see the charge item “Parking Ticket” among the applied costs.
2.2 Red “€” Symbol
Parking is not available, as both free and paid parking spots are fully occupied.
By tapping on the station pin, you can view the station details.
